Pastor Damon Moseley is the grateful servant-leader of the Bethel Temple Baptist Church of Detroit, MI. He has served as the under-shepherd of the Bethel Temple Baptist Church family for over 12 years. Being converted at the tender age of 9 years old, Pastor Moseley has daily sought to press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. He preached his first sermon Sunday, August 29, 1993 entitled, “Ready or Not, Here He Comes.” The text for the message was lifted from Matthew 25:1-13. Pastor Moseley is a graduate of Renaissance High School of Detroit, MI. He continued his matriculation of higher education at Wayne State University, Faith Baptist College and Seminary, where he received an Associates of Bible Degree, and is a currently enhancing his academic credentials through the Faith International University distance learning program, while maintaining excellence in ministry. During the past 23 years of preaching ministry, God has providentially provided various platforms for ministry and service to Pastor Moseley. Among these are, current President of the Baptist Missionary and Educational State Convention of Michigan Congress of Christian Education, after having served 10 years as both the First and Second Vice President of the same, Educational Chair of the Baptist Pastor’s Fellowship of Detroit and Vicinity, member of the Council of Baptist Pastor's of Detroit and Vicinity, former Moderator of the Central District Baptist Association, preacher during the late night services and Laymen Movement of the National Baptist Convention U.S.A. Inc. former host of the Ministry to the Masses radio broadcast (which became a weekly LIVE Radio Outreach Ministry of the Bethel Temple Baptist Church). Pastor Moseley has also had the honored privilege of serving as a National Baptist Convention U.S.A. Inc. Sunday School Publishing Board credentialed instructor for local church institutes, District Associations, and the BM&E State Convention Congress. In the spirit of the Bereans of Acts chapter 17, Pastor Moseley makes it a daily practice to search the scriptures that ultimately, he may be able to fulfill Paul’s admonition to Timothy to “rightly divide the Word of truth.” In 2013, Pastor Moseley obtained greater favor from the Lord as he was blessed to marry the former Dominique Atkins. Pastor Moseley, under the auspices of the Holy Spirit, continues to love, lead, and feed the congregation of the Bethel Temple Baptist Church with both dedication and perseverance into fulfilling the mandates of our Lord and Savior in the service to this present age.
